Data Breach Hits French Statistics Agency: 12,800 Staff Exposed in Dark Web Leak

France’s national statistics department, Insee, has suffered a cyberattack on its internal staff directory. The breach compromised the identities and professional contact details of approximately 12,800 current and former employees.A hacker operating under the alias “Saturn” leaked the database onto a cybercriminal forum. Insee assured that highly sensitive information, including passwords, banking details, and social security numbers, was not accessed.
